Rowanstead is a small homeware shop run out of Middlesbrough. We stock twelve makers and about forty things, and we add to that list slowly, because the test a product has to pass is a fussy one: the maker has to publish what it is made of, how big it is, what it weighs and what happens when it breaks.
What we stock
Lighting from Anglepoise, UMAGE, Industville and Garden Trading. Wool and cotton from Klippan, ferm LIVING and Christy. Kitchen and storage from Brabantia, Joseph Joseph, Umbra and Wireworks. Brass, wood and glass from Nkuku.
Twelve names in total. It is a short list on purpose, and it is the same short list across all five categories.
Why the specifications run so long
Every listing carries the manufacturer's own model or article number, and the EAN barcode wherever the maker publishes one. Put either into the brand's own website and you should land on the same product. That is the point of printing them.
The bullet lists underneath come from the maker's published data, not from us. That is why they include the awkward parts: the kettle that will not work on an induction hob, the throw that is dry clean only when the rest of the range is machine washable, the pendant that does not come with a bulb, the shelf that needs assembling. Where two sources disagree about a figure, we leave the claim off the page rather than pick the version that sells better.
What you will not find
No countdown timers. No invented stock counts. No reviews, because nobody has bought anything from us yet and we are not going to manufacture the impression that they have. When there are real customers with real opinions, their words will appear here and not before.
Delivery and returns
Delivery is free to any United Kingdom address, with no minimum order. We pack and send within 1 to 2 business days and Royal Mail takes 2 to 4, so 3 to 6 business days from order to doorstep.
You have 14 days to change your mind, on top of your statutory rights. Returns cost you nothing, the prepaid label is already in the box, and the refund is back with you within 5 business days of the parcel reaching us. Exchanges are fine. There is no restocking fee.
